Welcome to this series of tutorials dedicated to IA automations in Timetonic.
In these four tutorials, we will look at IA credits, available IA sources, creating an automation, managing credit consumption, and finally, how to use your own personal API key.
In this first video, we will answer a question.
What are IA credits in Timetic?
Before creating these new IA automations, it is important to understand their concepts.
In the end, you will know how to configure the IA automation, make the right choice of model, and understand consumption and estimate it.
Why do IA credits exist?
Before creating a new IA automation, it is important to understand all the concepts.
Each execution of a new IA automation consumes computational resources, this consumption in IA credit.
and to understand IA credits is to manage your IA budget.
Let's see what this looks like.
When you use an IA automation action in Timetonic, here's what happens.
This is the diagram representing the triggering of an IA automation.
I have a text field that can be a customer note, an email.
I'm going to send this text field to an IA model. That's going to be the input and it consumes IA credits.
Then the AI will read this content. It will analyse it, generate it, summarise it depending on what you asked it to do. And finally, it generates a response, which is what we call the output, and it consumes credits.
You will have understood that in input and output, we have credit consumption, that the longer the text, the higher the consumption will be.
Now, an IA credit, concretely, what does it represent?
The value of an IA credit is the equivalent of 1,000 tokens.
The token is the calculation unit of an IA model.
And to refine the token value a little more in character equivalent, it's about three quarters of a word in French.
Example, automation will have a value of four tokens.
It is therefore the length of the text, in input and output, that will determine the cost.
To give a bit more representation, To illustrate a bit more in practice, the example of a short email representing about 100 words will consume about one credit, and a 5-page document of about 2,500 words will consume between 3 and 5 credits.
Timetonic offers three sources of IA.
A public cloud IA source, a secure IV IA source and a source on a dedicated server.
Let's look at this concretely.
In your workspace, you are in an automation scenario and you click to get the automation action window.
You discover the automation action sources with IA, like the IA Claude Public, which offers you the best models on the market, JPT 4.0, Mistral, among others, or Claude.
Calls are taken from your IA credits or your personal key.
We will look at it later.
Then you have the secure private IA source, offering you models hosted in France and on Timetonic's sovereign infrastructure.
This secure private IA source will be ideal for sectors with sensitive data, such as the health, HR or legal fields.
The secure private IA source is available from the Pro plan.
It requires credit quotas to be used.
and the third, available only on the business plan, the dedicated IA server.
allows you to host your own models on your infrastructure without credit consumption.
You will be able to use the public model and the private models to test them from the 30-day Trial Trial plan.
Remember that the IA Cloud Public and IA Secure Private sources have a credit counter that is updated every hour in your dashboard.
Now let's see where to find your dashboard to observe your IA credit counters.
Go to the menu of your workspace in the Plans and billings tab.
You access the dashboard.
Depending on your licence plan, you have visibility on the IA source counters that are available with the respective quotas depending on your plan.
and the consumption you have made with the gauge representing your consumption rate.
You can also find the data from the IA credits and your consumption in the "User Management" booklet of your space.
This management and administrator area is available for space owners and invited admins in the space.
You have here the plan and billing tab and you can access the counter data directly as well as the gauge indicating the level of consumption on your quotas.
Here is a table representing IA credits according to the licence plans offered by TimeTonic.
For the trial version, Timetonic offers you a 30-day trial plan in which you will have quotas equivalent to the pro plan to allow new users to test the two public and private IA sources during the 30-day version.
Then, the user will switch back to the Free plan.
The IA Cloud Public source is available from the Free plan.
As for the secure private IA source, it is available from the Pro plan.
and you will notice higher credit volumes depending on the plans subscribed.
it is from the business plan that you will have access to the dedicated server.
Before moving on to practice, you can explore the IA templates offered by Timetonic.
For that, in your workspace, you click on Add a new workspace.
You will find different models of IA templates proposed.
Employment and allow you to start without configuration.
In the next video, we create an IA automation together from A to Z.
So, see you right away!
